Canvas is an extremely durable fabric which has been around for more than 700 years. It remains a critical element in the arts and fashion industries as a result of its diverse applications and strength. Canvas used to be made from hemp. However, most canvases are now made from cotton. There are two types of canvas including the plain canvas and the duck canvas, but the duck canvas is more tightly woven.

PEARL IMPORTS canvas is the more durable duck canvas and features a natural off-white shade and extra wide width to accommodate large projects.

Cotton duck canvas can be used for several artistic, decorative, and fashion purposes. It is widely used for making high-quality packaging such as customized luggage bags, sports bags, backpacks, purses, grocery bags, and reusable laundry bags. It is also used for making protective covers for sports equipment and machinery as well as tents, sails, and tarps. Duck canvas is also used for hats, belts, vests, watch straps, jackets, shoes, among others. It is also widely used for craft works such as needlepoint, scrap booking, and decoupage.

Our canvas can also be embellished with monograms and stamps or spray painted to make customized tote bags and adorable throw pillows and bean bags. Canvas fabric is used extensively in arts, and is particularly popular in oil paintings, although linen is now the preferred canvas among modern artists. Some of the stellar qualities of our canvas is its sturdiness, and it is also waterproof and windproof, which makes it extremely durable and flexible for a diverse number of uses. Additionally, the canvas can also undergo a wide range of chemical treatments to increase its natural attributes.
